Market Analysis Report for Riverside Square, RI

In August 2016, the East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce and City of East Providence were awarded a $15K Working Cities Challenge (WCC) Grant from the Boston Federal Reserve Bank. A WCC Committee for East Providence was created to include community partners to focus on revitalizing the Riverside Square area of the City and to develop programs to benefit the low-moderate income and minority residents.

On March 31, 2017, a grant application was submitted for financial assistance in implementing the WCC Committee's vision, based on the data gathered and input from residents and business community. Only three out of seven applicants from Rhode Island cities were selected. A grant was not awarded to East Providence. However, the East Providence Area Chamber, the City of East Providence and the WCC Committee continue to work on bringing their vision to life.
